I've noticed the copies come and go as people take them home and bring them back again--even though the copies clearly say, "Please leave in chapel". I saw your conversion story printed out ...Hi Scott.
I saw your conversion story printed out in St. Agatha's chapel Friday when I was there. I was so delighted to see it, as I have immersed myself in the story and it's spiritual treasures. Am also reading the book "The Healing of Families--how to pray effectively for those stubborn personal and familial problems." It is by Fr. Yozefu- B. Ssemakula. www.healingoffamilies.com The combination of the two is rocking my world and expanding my concept of God!
Thanks so muchTheresehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06309225366520172199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447426786300470686.post-91395488225021999052013-06-11T14:34:41.769-07:002013-06-11T14:34:41.769-07:00Thanks Agustin, and don't be shy about telling...Thanks Agustin, and don't be shy about telling your story to those who will listen. After I had my conversion experience my mom told me that her mother once saw an angel while praying and that "she never prayed the same way again." It was a lovely story, but I was disappointed that I hadn't heard the story before--when I was living without Christ. My grandmother was a very sober wife of a dairy farmer, and hearing such a story from a serious woman of integrity would have at least made me think a little bit. So God bless you and tell your story when God gives you an opening.Scott Woltzehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13112547391607836919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447426786300470686.post-46379535918384255612013-06-11T07:31:21.711-07:002013-06-11T07:31:21.711-07:00Scott, my name is Agustin, I'm from Spain (ple...Scott, my name is Agustin, I'm from Spain (please sorry my translation) My "re-conversion" to Christ began in 2007 after living without God almost all the time in my life. Similar events in different ways did happen to me, you are right when saying "God has a perfect plan for all of us so long as we strain to do His will". Your history of conversion is simply... incredible! amazing! This is the way our Lord is acting among us.
Thank you for sharing your beutiful history of True Love.
Keep praying, trust the Lord, keep reading the Bible.
Please pray for me and my family, I will pray for you and your family.
GRACIAS
Que Dios te bendiga amigo :)Agustinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447426786300470686.post-32928033971850872002013-06-10T13:16:26.024-07:002013-06-10T13:16:26.024-07:00God bless you, Bridgit. God loves us so much that ...God bless you, Bridgit. God loves us so much that He desires our trusting companionship right now, and He also knows that we will be poor evangelists and offerers of reparation unless we abandon ourselves to Him--since He is our real strength. Your comment inspired me to post Blessed Charles' "Prayer of Abandonment" on the side of my blog. I read it last night at adoration and was reminded of how stubborn I am in fully abandoning myself to Him. This prayer and St Ignatius' "Suscipe" are good barometers of our spiritual life--they reveal to us the true state of souls.Scott Woltzehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13112547391607836919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447426786300470686.post-41660230467113543602013-06-10T08:43:25.590-07:002013-06-10T08:43:25.590-07:00I've had similar events too in the past (durin...I've had similar events too in the past (during my re-conversion to Christ 17 years ago) and they are happening again now. I think because God is calling me into a deeper relationship with Him. Durin...God bless you, that's a normal reaction. During that two week period I often said, "Really? What next? Come on now..." I didn't know what was going to happen next and was overwhelmed. A funny story: another night when I was running with my dogs at Maybury park I noticed a bright light in the sky that seemed to be following me, and the light was getting nearer and nearer, brighter and brighter. I thought it was an angel coming to tell me something and so I ran as fast as I could away from the light because I just wanted to be left alone. I soon discovered that it was a low-flying airplane!Scott Woltzehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13112547391607836919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447426786300470686.post-13455730856419432302013-06-06T13:30:26.131-07:002013-06-06T13:30:26.131-07:00Good beginning but you lost me toward the end.
